Alien Monster Pumpkin 2023

This is a pumpkin I carved in the Halloween of 2023 inspired by the alien in the movie, “Mars Attacks.” I carved two separate pumpkins - the brain and the face - and put them together to form a monstrous pumpkin large in size. I utilized LED lights to add a '“alien” effect similar to the neon green lights that are shown in sci-fi movies.

A Trip to the Moon 2022

I created a stop-motion pumpkin inspired by a “Trip to the Moon,” a short film known to all for it’s first innovation with special effects. I wanted to pay homage to one of the first original movies by mimicking the famous scene where a spaceship lands in the moon’s eye but make it Halloween. Using animation techniques and wood carving techniques, I crafted a 3D pumpkin with candy corn tears.

Gremlin Pumpkin 2021

In 2022, I ventured into carving 3D pumpkins and this is my first time creating pumpkins with other pumpkin flesh. This is a sculpture of Gizmo from Gremlins (one of my favorite Halloween movies!)
