This stained glass mirror reinterprets the myth of Narcissus, whose tragic love for his reflection led to his downfall. The glass's vibrant hues, sharp edges, and delicate fragility symbolize the seductive yet dangerous allure of beauty. Acting as a modern-day "pond," the mirror invites viewers to gaze at their own self and ponder themes of vanity, self-obsession, and the consequences of desire.
This will be exhibited in the Magnus Opus 2025 group show at the Sac Fine Arts gallery. I received the “Award of Excellence” for this stained glass and am preparing to make more contemporary artworks soon.
